As mentioned in my New Year post, I will be completing a marathon, sort of, and enduring the training required to perform well at this race. The purpose of this goal is to improve my mental fortitude and mental endurance. I have chosen the 10k (6 miles) with a Target time of less than 48 minutes. I chose this distance because I am able to do a 5k (3 miles) but have never ran 6 continuous miles in my life. I tried 5 miles last year and almost died. So, this is will be a new milestones for me and I am excited for the journey. I am going into my second week of training and will be posting snippets if my training along the way.
