"In the beginning, God created man and man walked beside God until man sinned, separating him from God. To mend this separation, God sent his Son, Jesus,  to serve as a bridge, accepting those who choose to seek him in exchange for their sinful nature. The Christian faith is summed up by this duality, the purity of God and the sinful nature of man, with Jesus being the medium between both" 

Intercession is an exploration of this theme through photography. A general theme of this collection is the religious imagery. Parts of the collection depict the contrasting nature of man by juxtaposing the cross, which represents the suffering of Jesus and reconciliation of the relationship between man and God, with palm trees, an image that has become synonymous with worldly pleasure. The monochromatic tone sets an atmosphere of somber reflection, allowing elements of the photograph to stand out. When present, the red color symbolizes the blood of Christ, an iconic element of the Christian faith, representing the purification of man.
